I found this post through Good Blogs and I wanted to say that I totally agree with you. I LIKE Rosie, I always have. She's a woman that speaks her mind and does so regardless of how she's portrayed by the media. But she's hurt by it, you can tell that she was worn down by all the negative publicity. I agree with almost everything she says (although her 911 theories are a bit over the top for me), especially about the war and the current administration. She's been a good spokesperson for the liberals.
Fox News is on a witch hunt. They're rabidly conservative and they lie like rugs, especially Bill O'Reilly. Anything they claim I immediately disbelieve. They don't do research, they twist the truth, and they decide to hate liberals with such intensity that they have, thankfully, lost momentum because of the war. That's a good thing. Hopefully they'll continue their downward spiral.
The second thing is, because you have such a thick accent, your words are even more valuable. People equate liberalism with northern Yankees, but you're obviously not, and that makes your words even more powerful.
Thank you Margalit for your comments. I agree with most of what you have said. I do consider myself to be a Republican, but I think that I am more moderate than most. I am most certainly more open minded to opposing ideas and opinions than a lot of people in both parties are. Maybe if the members of both parties would become more moderate and more open, More would get done in the best interest of this country. Instead, it seems like all we have now is fighting and mud slinging. Sad . . .Sad . . .Sad.
